Who is included?

  • The timeshare or vacation membership must have been purchased since April 21, 2016.
  • You must be either be a citizen or a legal resident of the United States of America or its territories; or a citizen or legal resident of Canada.
  • The timeshare or vacation membership must have been purchased directly from the resort.
  • You must be listed as an owner on the timeshare or vacation membership.
  • The timeshare or vacation membership must be active.

You may be impacted if any of the following statements apply to you:

  • Sales representatives of the resort gave you the impression that you could sell the timeshare for profit or stated that the timeshare or vacation membership was an investment.
  • Sales representatives of the resort did not give you enough time to review the paperwork or seek legal consul before signing the documents.
  • The timeshare contract was signed the same day you attended the sales presentation.
  • The resort or an associated marketing company invited you to attend an owner update meeting that turned into a sales presentation.
  • Sales representatives of the resort failed to inform you of additional fees. These fees may include but are not limited to exchange fees to use other properties and additional, non-disclosed fees assessed by the resort relating to the purchase of the timeshare contract.
  • The sales presentation exceeded the initially specified amount of time.
  • Sales representatives of the resort made oral promises about the value or use of the timeshare contract that were not true.
  • Sales representatives of the resort guaranteed that you could easily rent your timeshare for profit.
